Designed with comfort and safety in mind
The home is licensed to allow for six residents. This ensures each individual receives personalized care from our talented caregivers. The kitchen, living and dining room areas are easily accessible. The deck area provides a safe space for residents to socialize, exercise or relax. All our rooms, having large windows, are bright and well-lit. Every room is available with a private bathroom (toilet and sink) and closet. For those times to get away and relax, each room has a TV (cable and streaming) and book stands.
Home cooked meals
No matter what stage of life we are in we eat for comfort when we’re sick, at family celebrations, or when we’re feeling stressed or lonely. Our relationship with food is overwhelmingly cultural, generational and related to personal nostalgia.
To feel comfortable in our food means many things; it suggests a comfortable kitchen, the comfort of home, and comfort in others. As we think about the role that food plays in our lives, comfort remains an underlying theme: it signifies we first feel safest, and where our palettes ultimately return.
This is why at Yorkshire Homestead we only serve home cooked meals to encourage appetites and spending time with others.
